Alan has had the shakes and some low-grade fevers. The nurses have taken a culture, but Doc A has already prescribed antibiotics. Hopefully that will knock whatever it is out, but we won't get results from the culture until tomorrow. Alan has been sleeping since late afternoon, intermittently whimpering and fussing a bit, but he always settles back to sleep.
I had a chance to talk to Doc A some more about the tumor, and the tumor recovering from a chemotherapy near the end of the three-week cycle is not unusual. That's why we keep hitting it with another treatment. Since the widening of the tumor is pressing on a kidney and causing hydronephrosis, it's all the more important that we see this current treatment through despite his fever and possible infection.
