The OT came by with the rep from the medical equipment company to arrange for Alan's specialized car seat to accommodate the cast and to go over wheel chair options. Then it was time for Alan's walk. He was so happy to get out of the bed and out of the room. Unfortunately, the enormous playroom was closed so we circled the unit several times. During our first circuit, we ran into Auntie Joys and big brother Kevin - they were so surprised to see us out for a walk. Alan was just happy to be out and about!

Yay! A walk! That's exciting. Alan looks great. I'm glad they're handling the carseat and wheelchair needs.

ReplyDeleteYeah!!! Out of the ICU and now getting to go for a walk, all just in a few days! So glad to see that things are progressing so well. I'm sure Alan was sooooo happy to be out of bed for a while! :) Patricia Bowers
