Ever since we got Alan's diagnosis, we have become so much more aware of how often cancer touches our life and the lives of loved ones around us. We're sad to lose a fellow traveller.
As for Alan, he has enjoyed being home. He slept in late and had a nice long nap - catching up on all that interrupted sleep in the hospital. He had fun in the family room creating toy carnage, and keeping up with his big brother Kevin. The two boys had a great time in the bouquet of balloons sent by Baby Liam and Alan was enjoying his freedom to move and be active. He stood, free of support, several times and for the first time since the tumor knocked him down, he tried to take a step a few times.

Look at him stand!
