Counts today and our last scheduled dose of Vincristine. Doc P is still worried about Alan's daily calorie intake and laid out the numbers for us. A child his age needs 100 calories/kilogram/day. With the toll that the tumor and chemotherapy is taking on him, that number needs to be supplemented by 25%. So, Alan is currently 12 kilograms - 1200+300 = 1500 calories a day. With the Pediasure at approximately a calorie per ml, he needs to take in 1500 ml, and we've been managing only a little over 1000. We'll be bumping up the rate of his night feeds to try and make up the difference.

But for now, we're done for the week! We don't need to go back to the office until Monday. Hurray for a long weekend!
