Spica Cast Week Two

We are coming to the end of the second week in the cast and Alan is starting to move around a little. A lot of that involves rotating around on his back like a turtle, but it indicates he's getting more comfortable and less satisfied with staying put.

Well, it turns out we will be dealing with the cast longer than anticipated. We are scheduled for scans during the second week of March, which will mark three months from the surgery. Doc L will see us after the scans and hopefully remove the cast. The good news is that Doc L says there are no restrictions on Alan once the cast is off. He will probably be timid with his abilities for the first two weeks, but he should gain confidence quickly.

Between the travel and the weather, we haven't been able to take Alan out as much as we'd like. The weather doesn't look good for the next week either - hopefully his movies and the occasional new toy will keep him distracted.
