01/27 11:33Just a checkup visit today but a few questions for Doc P.
ANC 2159
Alan went to school today and did really well. His mood overall today was better, though not up to what it used to be before the current appearance of the tumor. Blood returns were very easy today.
At the office, we discussed Alan's pain management regimen and how it was becoming routine to have to use the Hydrocodone on a regular basis in addition to the Fentanyl patch. Doc P recommended stepping up the Fentanyl patch to two patches at once rather than just one. Hopefully this will do better in pain management until either the chemo takes effect or other options are used to control the tumor.
We had noticed Alan's eyes appeared to be a bit dry and crusty, however Doc P said they look just fine with no abnormalities noted. We also told him about our consultation with the radiation oncologist and how we felt better about Alan getting the radiation treatment.
Free for the weekend with no more shots needed!
On a momentous note, this post marks the 500th entry in Mr. Cheeks Goes to the Hospital!
