Since Alan's tumor has come back, the outpouring of love and support has been amazing from not only friends but also long-ago connections that have come back into our lives and friends of friends who have been touched by Alan's story. Some friends have set up a group on Facebook called Alan's Angels where people have been expressing their kind thoughts and finding out how they can help. Denise and Russ have ordered a batch of bracelets in Childhood Cancer Awareness gold with Alan's Angels and Fight's On! which have been going like hotcakes. If anyone in Canada wants one, please contact Penny Bartel at Pjbartel@telus.net as she will organize all the Canadian requests into one big shipment.

Alan's PPCD class and some of the school moms had put together a couple of gift bundles to help Alan through his treatments, including a lap desk to use during chemo and one of his favourite puzzles at school. Some of the items came from the Learning Express, who had generously thrown in some gifts of their own for Alan.

The kids decorated and signed a big giant card for Alan, decorated with a big "#1"!
Between the meals, six-packs of chocolate Pediasure, cards and gifts to help out our family or keep Alan entertained (along with a few from anonymous Angels) our front porch has been a very busy spot. We can't ever express how much all these expressions of good wishes and support mean to us.
