Alan counts bounced back nicely, but we're still giving him Neupogen until Friday. We talked about the plan for Alan over the next couple weeks since we will be going on a family trip and returning just in time for the next round of chemo. We go back to the office on Monday for counts, Vincristine and more Neupogen if necessary. Right now the plan for chemo is to give Alan a Vincristine push the first day and Irinotecan over five days. Irinotecan can be infused over 90 minutes and doesn't need the same supporting fluids and drugs that some of the other chemotherapy regimens do, so instead of being inpatient in the hospital, we'll spend the week at the office for a few hours each day. It will be nice for him to be able to sleep at home every night!
