05/14 11:40Alan's counts are good but the blister is worse. A suture was definitely sticking out of the wound, so we waited a little while things settled and Doc P could take the time to trim it. Alan wasn't happy to be messed with but Doc P was able to grab and trim a stapler-sized pieces of suture. Hopefully this will allow it to heal quickly.
ANC 2006
Doc P updated us on his conversations with local surgeons. They concurred that cryoablation would be the best course for Alan, but none of them had experience with pediatrics patients. It's good to have a second opinion and confirmation that going to Houston is our best course of action.
We will be back on Wednesday for counts since Alan has been on antibiotics and to check how the wound is healing. Hopefully we will have word from Dr. T by then.
