12/09 11:25We had a quick checkup with Doc P before we start the next round of chemo on Monday. The blood return was a little stubborn, requiring an extra syringe of saline to get going. Alan continues to be fussy and irritable, like he is in pain, so Doc P is scheduling us for an x-ray and abdominal ultrasound next Wednesday. He wants to be sure the kidneys aren't blocked. Otherwise, we are on track for next week.

One year ago today, we were in Houston for Alan's 17 1/2 hour surgery. It's amazing how time flies... it doesn't seem that long ago that we were in the ICU or managing Alan in his spica hip cast or helping him relearn how to walk. This Christmas, he has a full head of hair (and could actually use a hair cut) and is moving around like a monkey. What a difference a year makes.
