06/30 10:30Another day another infusion of Irinotecan. Things went very smoothly today, but Alan's counts are starting to trend down. He has done very well the previous three rounds of chemo but the side effects can get worse as the treatment progresses. His ANC has gone down and his red count is at the low end. While lower counts are to be expected, they don't usually go down until Day 10 from the start of the treatment, and we haven't even finished this round yet. This development, coupled with the change in schedule for our MRI in Houston and follow up with Doc L and the family trip to Canada, may mean a delay in Alan's fifth round of post-op chemo.

Neupogen and possibly a blood transfusion may be in store for us next week. One more day to go!
