09/27 09:05We started another course of chemo today to keep the tumor from recovering while we wait to hear from Doc L. Alan's counts looked good, so he got a dose of Vincristine and Irinotecan. The Irinotecan takes an hour and a half. Alan watched Diego on TV for a while, then played with his Leap Frog PDA. The last fifteen minutes he decided he wanted to walk, so I put his backpack (holding the IV pump and chemo bag) on so he was free to move around. He bee-lined to the desk where the jar of lollipops sat and reached for lollipop #2 of the day. I made him work for it - he had to ask for it. "Lollipop" was a bit of a mouthful for him, but "pop" finally came out. We were soon on our way home with lollipop #3, which he asked for while we were checking out!

...and then he went home to continue his fight against cancer. This is the story of our angel.

Awww :) brush those new little teeth!
ReplyDeleteHa ha, spoken like a true dentist Miche! It's a fight, but those little teeth get a brush every night. He thinks it's hilarious when Kevin spits, so we're hoping that will lead to him imitating Kevin brushing too!
