Long day but home for bed

It was a long day for Alan after a good night's sleep. Nothing to eat or drink this morning while he waited for the MRI and CT since he would be getting anesthesia. The testing took almost two hours and then recovery time in the PACU.

Alan didn't feel like waking up from the anesthesia - he's "sleeping" with his hands behind his head while holding his head up off the bed.

Once he was back in his room, it was time for a blood transfusion. That took about three hours of being on a shorter line than he was used to, but by the end of it he got to go home! Back to the office tomorrow for counts and Neupogen if necessary, but tonight he gets to sleep in his own room, free of lines and needles.
