10/05 12:30Alan's white counts are through the roof, thanks to the Neupogen shots over the weekend (no, that ANC is not a typo). Between that and the transfusion on Friday all his blood work came back great. Doc A was very happy with how active he's been and he gave me a few tips on how to handle Alan when he has a throw-myself-on-the-floor-and-roll-around tantrum (big brother Kevin never did that!).

Alan's weight has gone up too, thanks to his chocolate milk consumption over the weekend. We started of with some Promise Land Dairy chocolate milk, which he sipped bit by bit. Then when he got some of the chocolate-flavoured Kid Essentials (AKA baby Boost) he started guzzling down half a cup at a time. Not exactly a well-rounded diet, but it's another step in the right direction.
One more dose of Vincristine today and we'll be back Thursday for counts and to finalize paperwork to be admitted to the hospital for the Irinotecan and Adriamycin next week.
