04/07 10:00Another speedy day at the office for Zofran and Irinotecan. Alan was not happy when we arrived at the office building - what, again??? He cried all the way up the elevator. But once we were in the office, he was happy to be picking out a lollipop after taking his vitals. He spent most of the morning drawing or playing with the interactive alphabet on the iTouch.

The past week has not given Alan much opportunity to move around. We haven't seen any sign of him moving his bad leg or foot or bearing any weight on that side. He is moving a lot - up and down the stairs, and climbing onto Mommy and Daddy's bed to romp with the pillows and down comforter. He even attempted to climb into the tub with his brother this evening - a big No No since his port is accessed. But that is in spite of his bad leg, not using it.
Still, his activity level is not bad considering he is getting chemotherapy this week. Every day when we get home from the doctor's office, he asks for "walkie", so we usually go for a turn around the circle in the wagon. Chasing bubbles is still a very popular activity too.
Next week will be very busy. We will start PT and see what we need to do to get him walking again. We'll also be heading back to MD Anderson for an MRI. Alan's preschool assessment with the school district is on Monday - hopefully he can start PPCD at Kevin's school. Kevin's teacher has been looking forward to having Alan in her class for quite a while, and we hope the school district agrees. Alan is certainly itching to join Kevin - this morning, he wailed away as Kevin headed off for school.

Alan loves to write the alphabet
