04/04 11:05We started Alan's post op chemo today. It will be five days in Doc P's office, three weeks off and then repeat for eight months. Vincristine and Irinotecan today and then Irinotecan for the rest of the week. Doc P has decided to drop Ifosfamide from Alan's treatment since he didn't react well to it last year and he has done so well with the Vincristine/Irinotecan combination.

Mondays are crazy, so there was a bit of a wait to get into a room where we could do Alan's treatment. Alan gave Doc P the "Bye Bye!" treatment. Again, the blood return was a little sluggish, but it only took an extra saline flush to get it going this time. Hopefully now that it going to be used regularly this won't be a continuing problem.
Once we were settled Alan was content to play with the IV tubing for a while. Drawing on his magnetic board and watching Here Come the ABCs took us to the end of the day. We'll have to start adding some new entertainment options into the mix!
