08/31/10-0338After falling asleep so easily last night, Alan woke up around 1 am, probably due to the molars and incisors coming in. He was not happy to wake up to find himself stuck in the crib. Unfortunately, he wasn't due for another dose of Tylenol for another hour and a half so he was pretty cranky. He alternated between wailing and quiet until almost 5 am, then finally fell asleep. Doc A skipped our room this morning since the nurses told him how late we had been up, and Alan slept until noon.

Once he finally woke up though, he was in a pretty good mood. He sat down to eat yogurt, fries and hamburger bun while watching Cars. Later on he had ice cream and a blue freezer pop (his favourite colour!) which really soothed his sore teeth. He also went on a couple of walks today. Another stop by Child Life for a toy and of course, "helping" turn on the water at the nurse's station sink. Everyone has been exclaiming how much he's grown, and he was extra charming and cute today.
We saw Doc A on his afternoon rounds, and he was happy with how Alan looked, especially given how bumpy things were last night. Once again, Alan was busy eating ice cream when Doc A came by, but he paused long enough to count with him and do a little bouncing.
There was some fussing about being stuck in the crib at bed time, but he fell asleep before 9. Hopefully he'll be able to stay asleep tonight. He's been so active, we've had some trouble with his IV line becoming kinked and impeding the flow of fluids and chemo. We actually had stop the pump and disconnect the line so we could straighten the line out!
