08/10 10:15We are back for chemotherapy, this time at the doctor's office. Instead of admitting Alan to the hospital, the docs are administering the chemo in their office over the next five days. He still comes home with IV fluids that we disconnect and heplock at bedtime, but this gives him so much more freedom than staying at the hospital, and allows him to get a much better night's sleep.

After pre-hydration, Vincristine, and then Irinotecan over an hour and a half, Alan was set up for post-hydration and home! We put the IV pump and bag in a little backpack so Alan could have some freedom without us having to constantly run behind him. When we tried the backpack on him the night before, Alan thought it was fun and admired how he looked in the mirror!
Alan went for a walk with Daddy when he got home. He was pretty stir crazy from being in the stuck in the office all day long. He's just not old enough to realize it would be a lot worse stuck in the hospital. But he looks pretty adorable in his backpack and hat!
