Alan's G-tube was clogged last night and could not be opened up with any technique. His nurse tried cola, warm water, and baking soda - none of them worked. Since he was going down to Interventional Radiology to put in another line, IR will also replace the G-tube. It seems whenever we go down to we're always getting extra stuff done. IR decided to put in an internal jugular catheter (IJC) in his neck on the same side as PICC. While he was under, they also changed his nephrostomy dressings.
Once he was back upstairs, he felt good enough to walk to nurse's station with AJ this afternoon. He also got a new fentanyl patch today.
How awesome to see him up and walking! He worked so hard! How amazing!
