Radiation Treatment #4

Today was Alan's fourth radiation treatment. It was quiet down there since it was the weekend. After we were done we headed up to Radiology for another x-ray. Since we were already on the move and Alan was nice and relaxed from the anesthesia it was easier to have the x-ray taken in Radiology than have a portable x-ray machine sent up to his room.

We had a lots of visitors today. Krysia (from San Antonio by way of Frisco), Denise and Sara came from Frisco came to see Alan with lots of great home-made cards and gifts.

Then in the afternoon Becky brought big brother Kevin from San Antonio to join us. Alan was quite excited about the box of popcorn that Kevin had picked up in the lobby. That's the first sign of interest he's had in solid food for over a week!

Alan had a good afternoon watching Kung Fu Panda 2 and playing Fruit Ninja. Although he continues to push the button on the PCA for morphine, we have been easing back on the nursing boluses. He's been in a good mood.

Doc H2 came by later in the afternoon with some thoughts. He is considering some high-dose Ifosfomide for a post radiation treatment.
