Feeding tube fiasco

In the wee hours of the morning, Alan vomited up his feeding tube again. Like the last one, he had this one in for little more than 12 hours. Doc P is sending us back to the PED-ONC ward to have a new one placed in later this morning. At least we won't have to go to the Pediatric Radiology Waiting Room in the sub-basement again.

I have a bad feeling about this. When this happened last time, Alan's weight was good - chunky even. The docs decided to give Alan a break and a chance to eat on his own. This time his weight is too low, and if it doesn't go up enough, we won't be able to go through with the next chemotherapy treatment. The docs may want to start considering the G tube. I guess we'll see how the weekend goes. Hopefully it was just a fluke. Otherwise, the office visit on Monday may not be as routine as we thought it would be.
